Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) are tradable certificates that document renewable electricity consumption in the United Kingdom.
Renewable energy producers recieve 1 REGO for each 1 MWh that they put into the electricity grid. These certificates can then be traded on the open market, where organizations can purchase and use them (referred to as "canceling REGOs") in order to prove the origin of the electricity they consumed.
