Executive Summary

As a Senior Corporate Lawyer working at the intersection of environmental commodities and artificial intelligence, you'll be instrumental in navigating the complex legal and regulatory landscape that Soldera is immersed in. This role encompasses: contract work, negotiations, legal strategy and compliance. This means that business acumen and research skills are joint requirements, due to the inseparable nature of contract work and real-world legal challenges. As a result, you will work closely with our two founders, and within legal contexts, be expected to consult on core strategic decisions. Primarily, you'll be expected to architect the legal framework to match our infrastructure vision: the completely seamless and modular operation of our platform across 30+ European jurisdictions (with a view to eventually expand worldwide). In meeting this responsibility, you will also be structuring future-proofed cross-border trading agreements with numerous counterparties.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5+ years of corporate law experience, preferably in fintech, energy, or regulated financial services
  • Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks, national implementations, cross-border transactions, financial services, and registry/exchange regulations
  • Applied understanding of regional governmental directives and their corresponding national transpositions
  • Experience with:
    • Custodial account structures and member account frameworks (fintech background ideal)
    • Commercial contracts, technology licensing, and multi-jurisdictional compliance
    • Data privacy, AI governance, and trading regulations
  • Strategic thinker who can identify and mitigate risks before they become problems
  • Proven ability to build compliance frameworks from the ground up
  • Commercial acumen - understanding how legal strategy drives business growth
  • Self-driven attitude with strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional EU languages a plus)
