Soldera is an RECS member, and we have been since February 2025. For those familiar with the Guarantee of Origin (GO) market, or other Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) market, the role of RECS will be clear - but even so, it's worth expressing clearly as to why our RECS involvement matters - and that starts with taking a look at why we originally decided to make the commitment.
The Renewable Energy Certificate Association (RECS), formerly known as RECS International, is a global association that advances reliable EAC markets globally. Their work covers advocacy, member support, and coordinating working groups - liaising closely with their members and partner organizations to drive a future for humanity that is powered entirely by renewable energy.
Like Soldera, RECS believes that the energy transition is deeply connected to both the reliability and uptake of emerging EAC markets, alongside the enhancement and enrichment of existing ones - meaning improvement in all areas: participation, transparency, a variety of reliable and interoperable instruments and technology standards, shared principles, improving volumes, and knowledge sharing.
And as Soldera is a private market infrastructure player for the selling, buying, and management of EACs (Such as Renewable Energy Certificates and Guarantees of Origin) their mission is entirely aligned with our core values.
We feel EAC markets, especially voluntary markets, are integral to the energy transition. That's because key incentives and competitive financing mechanisms are of core importance in any sustained global economic and environmental effort - not just renewable energy. That's precisely why we made certain that Soldera was looped into the critical conversations via RECS, as if we're not keeping at the forefront of the industry, we can't effectively serve our member producers by:
There are clear benefits that Soldera can leverage to support our member producers. Beyond what may seem like superficial benefits such as event invites and conferences are the genuine, substantial methods to influence tracking, market development, and policy dialogue for the better - all of which are important if you are serious about running a technology business in this space with producer interests at the very center.
If you've ever tried to fight for the interests of any group, you know you need to be in the right groups and conversations. Being active in the community keeps our platform pointed at what really moves the needle - building responsive and informed automations and architectures that fit the rules, attack the core pain points, and respond to emerging data and trends. We'll always be the proxy that represents producer interests in these key spaces.
Communities like RECS thrive on members who share what they learn. We'll keep showing up, contributing market insights, generating conversations and buzz, and speaking up about what we know matters to our members. Put simply, our RECS membership signals strongly that we're working within and contributing to the consensus frameworks and discussions that keep the market trustworthy and healthy.
If you're exploring certificates for the first time, you'll now understand that RECS membership is a valuable affirmation in a market that needs strong players with shared values. Renewables should be easy to claim and easy to trust, and producer incentives should be transparent and fair. That's the bar, and we're glad to help keep it high - and continue to push it higher.
