How Versina brought multi-company GO sales into one producer workflow

Versina used Soldera to manage GO sales, monthly production declarations, registry monitoring, and commercial control across a Lithuanian renewable portfolio.

Where It Started

Versina came to Soldera with installed capacity spread across multiple wind parks and related companies. Their starting goal was to sell Guarantees of Origin for 2026 without monthly certificate work becoming its own administrative burden.

The setup had several moving parts that needed assembling cleanly:

  • Eight separate companies to create, connect, and permission correctly
  • Registry account authorisations to coordinate across the portfolio
  • Production declarations and registry data flows to keep moving
  • Annual PPA decisions that could not be constrained by a careless GO strategy
  • Clear commercial guardrails before any certificates were sold

Versina needed a reliable, software-native route to market for their EACs. Just as importantly, they needed a system that respected future commercial choices while certificate prices kept moving.

The Friction

Versina had certificates to sell, but some future production needed to stay flexible because Versina tenders its PPAs annually. GO sales had to create revenue in the immediate term without limiting the portfolio's future commercial decisions.

There was also a very practical problem. With production declarations to complete across eight companies, the underlying registry sometimes threw errors or took some time to complete. If data looked wrong or issuance was overdue, Versina needed to know the status, relying on Soldera's monitoring to confirm errors at the registry level.

This is exactly why producer software cannot behave like a static dashboard. It has to reconcile constantly against the registry as the source of truth.

How Soldera Helped

Soldera set Versina up as a portfolio workflow. We created the eight related companies in the platform, sent user invitations, and coordinated the necessary GO account authorisations with Litgrid. Once team-wide access was in place, Versina could manage commercial decisions from one workspace with a clear audit trail of platform activity.

The work then moved from setup into active management:

  • Soldera handled time-sensitive declaration work, then automated monthly production declarations
  • Versina set commercial rules across spot, forward, and pay-as-produced options
  • Grexel and Litgrid data issues could be flagged at registry level instead of guessed manually
  • Versina could check realised sale prices directly from in-app transaction history

Unglamorous operational tasks like these are Soldera's core competency. By turning the boring, stressful tasks into just “business-as-usual”, we give the client enough control to make portfolio-level decisions calmly.

The Outcome For Versina

Versina established its own commercial rules, gained visibility over production declaration and issuance status, and no longer relies on a web of registry exports, emails, and internal notes when making strategic decisions. There were commercial proof points too, without forcing the team into an all-or-nothing sales strategy.

Versina now has:

  • One platform with visibility over every subsidiary company
  • No manual registry chasing for recurring monthly production declarations
  • Recurring monthly sales with clear commercial control across the portfolio
  • A practical way to compare spot, forward, and pay-as-produced sales channels
  • Enough commercial flexibility to protect future PPA decisions

GO decisions now run through Soldera with the flexibility Versina needs around wider portfolio and PPA decisions.

“GO market prices are uncertain, so having visibility over our portfolio is critical. Soldera gave us a clearer way to manage our GO sales for a complex portfolio. We could see what was happening, keep the right commercial boundaries, and still make decisions around our annual PPA strategy when we needed to. Of course, nobody knows what will happen to GO prices, but in any case, we are very happy with our results with Soldera so far.”

“Versina's example is a perfect case study for the kind of work we do best. Preparing an entire Guarantee of Origin management process from start to finish, including delivering strong results in the market, this is where Soldera is strongest. Versina now has their most time-intensive registry work automated away, and can review their GO sales activity every month.”
