Polish Renewable Claims: Cancel Guarantees of Origin in Poland Using Soldera’s Registry Bridge to RGP / URE / TGE
Poland’s Guarantee of Origin system is the Register of Guarantees of Origin (RGP), maintained by Towarowa Giełda Energii, or TGE, under the authority of URE, the Polish Energy Regulatory Office. Whilst that sounds like a mouthful: It’s actually pretty simple - it’s possible to open an account there, or for ease of access you can just use Soldera’s Registry Bridge to bring RGP into the same management layer as every other global EAC registry (more information below).
The Friction - Poland Is A Special Case
Poland is unique, so building a registry bridge to it was a fun and challenging task, but we managed to pull it off:
-
Market Distinctiveness: At time of writing, Poland is not a full AIB member . As a result, the certificates used in Poland are subject to different market forces, are substantially less liquid, and are not transferable via the AIB-Hub as they are not aligned with the dominant European standard.
-
Market Boundary Quirks: Poland does not belong to the broader European renewable market boundary as per RE100 (as Poland does not issue EECS-GOs).
-
Registry Quirks: Unlike many AIB-connected markets, Poland runs a unique registry with significantly more operational friction than other markets where cross-border GO movement is the norm.
-
No API: RGP has no API. This gave the integration with RGP highly bespoke requirements, and as a registry it required a solution that was more challenging and custom . On the flip side, successfully integrating with RGP means we can now offer an RGP API to clients, who can simply use our registry bridge API instead.
Use RGP Registry + All Other Countries via Soldera
If you’re reading this article you’re likely on the hunt for a platform that enables RGP functionality. Soldera’s Registry Bridge has a custom connector to the RGP registry, and gives users a platform route for Polish registry activity, including cancellation, transfer handling, data reconciliation, and total alignment with the underlying RGP registry state. That’s because underneath the surface our platform is actually engaging with the RGP registry itself, so there’s no guesswork involved: clients receive total RGP utility and full visibility over their Polish GOs without requiring a Polish GO account.
Cancel Locally for Credible Polish Claims
For Polish cancellations, not having an account is a major friction point, especially when users need local cancellation documentation sourced from RGP if they have energy consumption in Poland that needs matching.
The Solution: Soldera’s hosted account brings cancellations within RGP (and every other European registry) into a single place. This approach allows for high-integrity, audit ready exports of cancellation documentation that match what you would receive from RGP - source-documentation certificates with device-level accuracy, unlike the proxy certificates that are issued by utilities. But it’s not just cancellation where productivity and reporting-level gains emerge. Clients using Soldera for RGP-registry access can also expect:
-
Access to reliable EAC buying and selling channels trusted by Soldera's global counterparty and client network, including Polish renewable energy producers (meaning that Polish GOs are readily available to procure within the Soldera platform).
-
Direct access to the full range of international energy attribute certificate registry platforms (Soldera has been building custom integrations with global EAC registries for multiple years , registry-by-registry).
-
AI-enabled cancellation software for bulk cancellations that span multiple countries with complex cancellation requirements and multiple beneficiary details. These cancellations are auto-routed to the appropriate registry route (e.g. RGP in the case of Poland), so your auditor will never ask you why you cancelled in a mismatched registry for consumption in another country.
