Soldera Joins Eurelectric: Europe's Leading Energy Sector Association

Soldera has just joined the Brussels-based Eurelectric , which is the leading energy sector association in Europe, representing a large share of Europe's electricity industry.

For Soldera , which is building a cleaner operating layer for certificate activity across borders, that places us amongst 60+ business associate members, including the world's largest corporate clean energy buyers: Google , Microsoft , Amazon , and Meta . These are the organisations driving structural demand for exactly the core market infrastructure that Soldera is providing.

Also present are leading 24/7 CFE players, which puts us squarely in the right place to contribute towards the EAC markets of the future, marking Soldera's near-term expansion from registry-integration expertise towards 24/7 CFE-aligned EAC service provision within our platform. When advocating for Soldera users, Eurelectric is exactly the place to be, allowing us to keep informed on core market developments and project influence. It also adds to relevant industry associations already held by Soldera, such as our RECS Association membership.

Why does Eurelectric matter strategically for Soldera?

Having existed for over three decades, Eurelectric is, in effect, structurally embedded into European energy markets. Its organisation and statutes show a core principle of convening the right players in one place. Eurelectric has a history of connecting national associations, major utilities, and business members around the practical mechanics of Europe's electricity system.

Through our innovative hosted account infrastructure, Soldera is currently leading with action on practical reform for the Guarantees of Origin market, allowing for cross-border execution at a level of simplicity previously unknown.

Innovation-focused hubs will also advance Soldera's work. The two hubs where Soldera is set to contribute most are unambiguously relevant: The Next-Level CFE Hub is focused on innovative procurement models, market design, and the technical hurdles behind more granular clean-electricity matching, and the Digitopia hub hosts pragmatic conversations as to exactly how effective power sector digitisation should pan out. Both are natural fits for a company already building around cross-registry execution and more granular electricity matching . As the predominant cross-border EAC interface, earning our rightful spot in the EAC market through technical hard work, joining Eurelectric places Soldera in conversations where that future is being shaped.

Why Soldera is right for Eurelectric

  • Eurelectric sits close to Europe's power-policy and coordination machinery.
  • Soldera is the EAC infrastructure of the future; consolidating government platforms into one: obliterating registry friction across borders altogether.
  • As a result, both are aligned with more intuitive, digital, granular electricity systems.

Eurelectric's long history and current work on market design, digital infrastructure, and cleaner procurement will compound our forward momentum. Find us at Eurelectric's Digitopia Hub Meeting and Next-Level CFE Hub Meeting on June 2 in Helsinki.
